DebtRiot - Terms of Use
Welcome to DebtRiot (“DebtRiot”, “we”, “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of debtriot.co.uk (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1) No financial advice
The calculators, tools and content are for information and education only. DebtRiot does not provide financial, legal or tax advice. You’re solely responsible for your decisions and should seek professional advice where needed.
2) Permitted use
Use the tools for personal, non-commercial purposes. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
3) Intellectual property
All site content, branding, design and code are protected by UK and international intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, redistribute or republish materials without our written permission.
4) Availability & changes
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or remove features without notice.
5) Limitation of liability
While we aim for accuracy, we don’t guarantee completeness or reliability of results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from reliance on results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
6) User conduct
Don’t use the Service unlawfully, to disrupt others, probe security, or attempt to copy or reverse-engineer our code.
7) Third-party links
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and don’t imply endorsement. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
8) Payments & delivery (digital product)
We sell a personalised Debt Payoff Plan (PDF) generated from the figures you enter.
Payments are processed by Stripe. DebtRiot never receives card numbers.
After checkout, you’re redirected to our thank-you page to generate and download your PDF. Keep the browser tab open until the file saves.
See our Privacy Policy for how payments are processed.
9) Refunds for instant digital content
Change of mind: Because the PDF is personalised and available immediately, the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply once generation starts (Consumer Contracts rules on digital content).
If something’s wrong: If your file is corrupted, won’t open, or is materially not as described, email hello@debtriot.co.uk. We’ll repair or replace promptly. If that isn’t possible in a reasonable time or would cause significant inconvenience, we’ll refund in full.
Didn’t receive / can’t download: We’ll help you re-generate the PDF or provide a fresh link at no cost.
Duplicate/unauthorised payments: Accidental duplicate purchases are refunded in full. If you suspect unauthorised use, contact us and your card issuer immediately.
10) Privacy
We aim to process calculator inputs in your browser. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
11) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective on posting the new effective date. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
