About DebtRiot
A UK debt payoff calculator built by someone who needed one.
Why DebtRiot Exists
DebtRiot started as a spreadsheet on a laptop in the UK.
The person who built it was staring at credit card statements, overdraft fees, and loan balances — and couldn't find a straight answer to one simple question: "When will I actually be debt-free?"
Every calculator online was either:
Built for American rules and rates
Focused on a single debt, not the real-life mix of cards, overdrafts, and loans most people carry
Vague about what to actually pay each month
So they built their own tool. One that would take real numbers — income, essentials, every debt with its rate and minimum — and show exactly what to pay, when, and for how long.
That spreadsheet became DebtRiot.
It's not financial advice. It's a calculator that answers "if X, then Y" — based on your numbers, not someone else's assumptions.
Built for UK Realities
How the Calculator Works
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your income, debts, and personal details never leave your device — we couldn't see them even if we wanted to.
Here's the process:
Enter your budget — income, essentials, and how much breathing room you want
Add your debts — balance, interest rate (APR or EAR), and minimum payment for each
Compare strategies — Snowball, Avalanche, Hybrid (both directions), and Cash Flow Index side-by-side
See your debt-free date — plus the first 3 months of your payment schedule, free
Get your full plan — a professional PDF with complete payment schedule, calendar, and what-if scenarios (one-time £9.99)
You can update your numbers and regenerate your plan anytime. Pay once, use forever.
